Hello,
Who am I and to whom am I writing?: I am a disenfranchised English major who doesn't know what she is doing in life, and the purpose of this blog is to highlight poetry and poets for a wonderful friend of mine, Kathrine. (Hence, Dear Kathrine.) She's this great trailblazing, revolutionary sort of person, but has trouble with names and titles. I read a lot and seem to do pretty well at namedropping, so I thought I'd make a Glossary of Poets before/while she's in grad school. I don't have a printer anymore and I'm moving to Australia for a year, which is why the blog seems ideal. If, by any chance, we pick up some readers along the way -- well, you guys can suggest new poets and poetry to cover.
Format of the blog: A poet will be introduced once a week (whoever makes me happy), I'll babble for a few paragraphs on what I think of her/him, and a poem or two will be shared. Simple enough, methinks.
